Monastery stays

Does anyone know anything about monasteries/convents in Paris that accept male guests? I have stayed in monasteries in various parts of the world and have enjoyed the atmosphere.

Sorry...I don%26#39;t really know if there are any convents or monasteries (Paris isn%26#39;t Italy) that provide primarily %26#39;..tourist..%26#39; guest accommodations. There is a Guest House attached to Basilique du Sacré Coeur...but I think these accommodations are intended primarily for those seeking spiritual retreat

but I%26#39;ve a feeling this isn%26#39;t quite what you had in mind.....and frankly, their rates don%26#39;t seem much better than some basic/budget 2-star hotels out at the %26#39;fringes%26#39; of Paris.

Though not quite what you want...A great all %26#39;round choice (though not exactly bargain/budget) would be the HÔTEL des GRANDES ECOLES (3-star), 75 rue du Cardinal Lemoine, 75005, Metro: Maubert-Mutualité....which was a convent once upon a time, before it became a charming Left Bank hotel-- http://www.hotel-grandes-ecoles.com/

For novelty, there are the few guest rooms (not hospital rooms) within HÔTEL-HÔSPITEL DIEU on Île de la Cité-- http://www.hotel-hospitel.com/

The book %26quot;Lodging in France%26#39;s Monasteries%26quot; lists only one for Paris: Foyer Saint-Jean Eudes, which it describes as a %26quot;1968 guest house.%26quot; I don%26#39;t know anything about it myself.
