My wife and I will be in Paris over Valentine%26#39;s Day. We did this several years ago and found a cozy restaurant, L%26#39;Apostrophe on Ile de la Cite%26#39; (SP) sorry! It is not there any more unfortunately, and we%26#39;d like to find something similar. I realize there are others (L%26#39;Apostrophe) around Paris, but apparently they lack the atmosphere. We%26#39;re not into the haute cuisine, i.e. spending the national debt on a meal. We%26#39;re more into a cozy atmosphere, candlelight, and a bottle of wine. If you know of a cozy, romantic restaurant to spend Valentine%26#39;s Day, please let us know.
Thanks!

I am not familiar with L%26#39;Apostrophe, but what is your price range--or what did you spend at L%26#39;Apostrophe that you found suitable for your taste and budget?
Tastevin on the Ile St Louis. Very cozy little place, family run.
Florimond.
La Truffiere - in the 5e.
The price can be about anywhere. It%26#39;s the atmosphere we%26#39;re looking for. We don%26#39;t want some chop-shop tourist restaurant. We%26#39;d like it local and with some character. Thanks for your input so far. I%26#39;m devising a list from your suggestions.
Thanks again!

Le Petit Pontoise fits the bill: small, romantic, good bistro food. Its address is 9 rue Pontoise, in the 5th arrondisement (left bank, near the Seine).
One other thought: Feb. 14 falls on a Sunday in 2010. Many restaurants will be closed. I think the Petit Pontoise is open, though.
Thanks! And that%26#39;s a very good point that February 14 is on a Sunday. This is great, however; I%26#39;ll have to stay in Paris a couple of extra nights to get to all these great sounding cafes!
