What are the best (most reasonable) places to buy souvenirs in Nice? Or where it’s better not to buy?

Where NOT to buy is easy. The airport. Prices at both Terminals are outrageous.
Tourist nicknacks? There is a good run of souvenir shops by Cours Saleya opposite the opera house. They are much the same but you can choose from one to the other.Also pretty much anywhere in Old Nice.
