I have a 7 am easyjet flight from CDG to Venice on a Tuesday. I would have taken the RER but since the first RER reaches CDG at 5:30am and I want to leave enough room. I looked at the shuttle option, but there has been such mixed shuttle response/reviews on the board and since it seems that a taxi may end up costing about the same for 2 people, I am planning to take a Taxi G7.
Since the taxi G7 site is in French, I couldnt get an estimate on the approximate fare from Jaures to CDG for 2 people. We will most likely have 1 carry-on and 1 small check-in bag with us. Can someone help me with this?
I am planning to leave by 4:00am so that I get to the airport by 4:40am atleast. Is that enough time to check-in and go through security? I do not have a US passport, just the Schengen visa.

1. If you leave Jean-Jaurès at 4am, you%26#39;ll be at the EasyJet desk at 4h20. There won%26#39;t be anyone there before 5h/5h30 and all the shops will be closed. Not a nice way to start your Italian escapade.
2. Paris to Venice is precisely Schengen. So (mild) security checks, yes, but no passport control.
3. Since there is no seat allocation, no flight connection and people don%26#39;t have 3 pieces of heavy luggae each, easyJet check ins are two to three times quicker than a traditional airline%26#39;s. So forget about the 3 hour ahead nonsense dogma. If you arrive at 5h30, at 5h45 you%26#39;ll be going through security and you%26#39;ll have plenty of time to roam the meagre shop array at this terminal. At this time there are not big intercontinental flights that might clog up the channels, so no worries.
4. It will be too early for the métro (that starts at 5h30), so if you want to take the RER, you should taxi to Gare du Nord, take the RER there, ie about 8€ taxi + 18 € for both RER tickets = 26 €. A taxi from Jaurès to Roissy would set you back around 35-40 € depending on your luggage. At this time, it%26#39;s a 20 mn safe ride. Just take it at 5h00, and you%26#39;ll be fine. Don%26#39;t bother booking any taxi (and even less G7, less reliable than Taxis bleus according to my own experience). Booked taxis will come with a not negligeable fare on the meter already, since they will have started it wherever they were called (and of course who is there to check? ). There is a taxi rank at Stalingrad, either walk to it or have your hotel call for a cab from this rank, you%26#39;ll save about €5 compared to a taxi company.

Thanks for your responses. I think I will take a taxi at 4:30 or so and arrive 2 hours in advance just in case.
