Gatorade

hi, can you get gatorade in the paris supermarkets? Or if it is called something else there, what is the name of it?

|||

No Gatorade. You can find Powerade, though and plenty of other creepy chemical drinks. They all look the same anyway.

|||

I used to drink gatorade but now I drink Red Bull.

|||

Just buy spring water at the supermarkets

|||

(another American here) - True - only Powerade.

There are so many other wonderful things to drink in Paris (adult and not) that I don%26#39;t know why you%26#39;d go out of your way to find Powerade (it%26#39;s not in every shop) -- or cough up the extra money for it (it%26#39;s pricey).

There are juices of every possible variation, all kinds of waters (bubbling, still, flavored, or some combination thereof) -- try them and see.

We%26#39;ll assume you%26#39;re not running a marathon, so your body won%26#39;t need it, either.

It is on sale in some pharmacies and parapharmacies :

%26quot;GATORADE%26quot; dans votre pharmacie

Viviane Lab, distributeur exclusif de %26quot;GATORADE %26quot;en France,

That is too funny. I remember how many years Coca-Cola had to wait to be authorized to market Coca-Cola Light in France. They refused to sell it for years because anything with an artificial sweetener was considered to be a pharmaceutical product and could only be sold in pharmacies.

And then the floodgates were finally opened....

|||

The reason for the gatorade is that I have Montezumas Revenge. My dr recommended it to replace electrolytes and prevent dehydration, water does not replace electrolytes. I will be in Paris in a few days, so that%26#39;s why I asked

|||

Well then the pharmacy is the perfect place.

|||

bs21403,, if your %26quot;issue%26quot;( sorry , pun intended) hasn%26#39;t cleared up in a few days you might have more to worry about then finding gatorade... lets assume your problem is better before you go,, or how will you cope on the plane??

Try flat lemonade (don%26#39;t know if you use the term flat for soda which has lost it%26#39;s fizz in the US).

According to several google references it%26#39;s just as effective as the sports drinks.

Here%26#39;s one: %26quot;Replace lost fluid with appropriate electrolyte liquids, ie water with both salts and sugars. The old fashioned remedy of flat lemonade is appropriate.%26quot; (I also suspect that lemonade in the US is different from here - I mean something like Sprite.)
