Please can anyone tell me where the offical taxi rank is at Gare du Nord station? Also, approx how much would a taxi be from there to Luxembourg Gardens? Thanks.

They are lined up along the side of the building (left side if you are looking at Gare du Nord from across the street)
I have no idea about the fare to Luxembourg Gardens.... Sorry

If you find the main platform for trains, Grande Lignes, face the trains and as the above poster says got left to the end of the platform and out of the door, there you will find the taxi rank. It is clearly signed by picture and sign %26quot;TAXI%26quot; with an arrow.

I%26#39;m guessing that taxi fare would be about 15-20 euros.

And if your French is not adequate, just hand the driver a piece of paper on which you have printed the address of your hotel.
You will have no problem finding the taxi queue.

There is also a limousine stand next to the taxi stand if you want to pay triple or more. (Just a heads up to pay attention to the vehicles.)
