Booking with Paris Sweet Home

Hello!

I have planned to stay in Paris for my Mom%26#39;s 50th Birthday for 2 weeks and booked an apartment through Paris Sweet Home. Everything has gone smoothly so far, but I have been in contact with the owner to set up our stay and he has asked that the remaining balance be paid when I arrive by cash only.

This is very worrisome to me, as 1. I don%26#39;t typically carry that much cash and worry to do so. 2. This is very unusual. I have never booked an apartment through a service like this though - and am worried I%26#39;m being scammed...

so you might be able to contact previous renters. If you post a link to the exact apartment, then perhaps someone has stayed there before. Paris Sweet Home just connects you to the owners so the service can vary. Myself, I prefer ensuring the payment is taken care of in advance via credit card, paypal, check, etc. so I don%26#39;t have to find that much cash along with having an agent to bug along with getting the keys in advance so I don%26#39;t have to synchronize arrivals. Final payments vary a lot so try to find someone who rented the same place.
