Does anyone know if there are hotels in Ste. Marie de la Mer? Any accommodations on the water? Do I need to be fluent in French to visit the area? Any info is appreciated!

Yes, there are many hotels of all categories in St. Marie de la Mer.
You can have a look here:

No, you should be able to get by just fine without any French. People do it all the time.
Have fun.

Thank you for the website info! I had seen the website on another Forum entry, but when I tried it, it was all written in French--had to laugh at myself, wondering how to find it in English!!! Now I%26#39;ll try it again...

Virtually all are on water but none on the ocean. However, the sea is a short walk from most of these locations.

I don%26#39;t think so but I haven%26#39;t really tried much English here. What is more important is a smile and a friendly voice - no matter what language is spoken.
