Club Mark Warner Val D'isere

Hi,

Has anyone stayed in any of the club Mark Warner places in Val D%26#39;Isere? Can you let me know what you though of the experience? We are looking for accommodation for roughly 8 or 9 people in April and they seem to provide flexible and reasonably priced accommodation.

Hi Helen

We stayed with Mark Warner at the ChaletHotel Toviere over Christmas and will never ever book with them again. The hotel is tatty, the rooms are cold and dated and the food is awful. The staff seem to think that the customers are secondary to their social lives. Have recently sent a letter of complaint to the Managing Director of Mark Warner and they have basically said that I will not be receiving any compensation whatsoever because they do not feel my complaints are justified. I am now taking this matter to ABTA to get something done about it. They basically take your money and fail to deliver what you have paid them for. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND BOOK WITH SOMEONE ELSE, PAY A LITTLE MORE MONEY AND STAY WITH A PROFESSIONAL SKI OPERATOR!!!

Good luck

Thanks for your response. We have booked now, but in the Cygnaski. I have low expectations and have my fingers crossed that they will have a better standard in that accommodation and will let you know.

I%26#39;ve just returned from a week at the Chalethotel Toviere. For sure it%26#39;s not a top class establishment, but look at the rating - it only claims to be 2*. If you go with this in mind you will arrive with the correct mindset.

Having said that, I arranged the booking at short notice so got a good deal. Would not contemplate paying full whack there. The big advantage of the Toviere over the Cygnaski is that it is right across the road from the Funival %26amp; lifts.

Skiing hols are all about the people you meet and the fun you have on the slopes. In that respect I had a great time even though the accomodation was only average at best.

Hi there, You are probably sorted by now, but we stayed in the Val D%26#39;Isere hotel with the outdoor swimming pool and it was not too bad except that we all got diarrohea and vomiting in the last few days which the locals say is caused by the water! Mark Warner not very helpful about it but apart from that the hotel is ok, small basic rooms, neat reception area. The food was good and we sat with our children which was nice.

Best thing about hotel is the location.

With Mark Warner you are putting your holiday in the hands of a group of teenagers who have no experience of the industry are being paid peanuts to run a decrepit hotel.

I think they are great and am going on my third holiday with them in 2 weeks.

I would avoid mark warner like the plague now. Once a loyal customer never again after Egypt hol with them in Jan... the customer service post holiday is just as bad if not worse!!

On the subject of skiing in val d%26#39;isere I can highly recommend club med ..Went there in march with a friend and we had a great time, fantastic food all inclusive.. not cheap though but worth every penny.
