I hope someone can provide you with info on a half day tour. We did not take a tour, mostly because we were travelling with our kids and one is too young for most of the tours. We used Major and Mrs. Holt%26#39;s Battlefield Guide to Normandy and the D-Day Landing Beaches. We were only able to see a few of the sites we wanted to see in the day we had available, but relished the opportunity to take our time at the sites we chose. I think you might find it hard to see more than one or two of the %26quot;sights%26quot; in a half day. We ended up spending quite some time at Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery, then driving along the coast past Gold, Juno and Sword Beaches (stopping briefly a few times), and visitng the Pegasus Bridge and its wonderful little museum. Those took us most of the day. I wish we had had more time to see other things, but would not trade the day we had for one where we ran from place to place. I would read up on what%26#39;s available and select what looks most interesting to focus on.

Bon Voyage!

Try www.viator.com. They specialise in both day and half day tours. I took the Sword Beach and British Airborne Sector tour last year which was very good value. Picked up and returned to my hotel in Bayeux the tour lasted around 5 hours with a charming young french woman who spoke excellent english and had a very detailed knowledge of the history.

If you Google D-day half day tours, you will find two or three established companies which do half day tours. They are generally conducted in the afternoon.
