A month with kids?

We are thinking about spending a month here with three kids under 7 - rent a house, hang out, explore, expose the kids to French culture, take some day trips...

Would this be a recomended location?

Any recommendations on nice villas to rent - not a fortune but nice

Thanks and look forward to the comments

St Remy, which is a nice sized town, is a great location, but, with young kids, you might want to look into someplace nearby that is a touch less urban.

Personally, I think that that Maussane-les-Alpilles, which is about a 15 minute drive, would be perfect - it has loads of true Provencal ambiance, is a well centered base for exploring ALL of Western Provence, and, we wouldn%26#39;t have been going there fot=r a month every September if it wasn%26#39;t %26quot;simply the best.%26quot;

Ooo, AlpillesGal, how could you! St Remy is perfect! Almost.

There is no public park to speak of, just one tiny playpark for children and a lawn next to it, by the tourist office. I%26#39;d assume you want somewhere with space for the kids to let off steam so if you rented near or in St Remy you would want to look for a garden. Somewhere you might look into is l%26#39;Isle sur la Sorgue which does have a nice park and lots of streams and the river.

I just came back from 2 weeks in St Remy staying at www.provenceparadice.com - this was the second time we stayed there and its beyond fab! I have 2 girls - 2 and 7 and we also brought our other 3 neices who were also young and they had lots of fun. St Remy is a relaxed town with lots of places to eat and shop but quiet enough that you don%26#39;t feel like you are in paris or Aix. Great little town for a vacation adn to base your self out of for touring around! ENJOY!!!
