My husband %26amp; I have a 5 hour layover in Lyon in September on our way to Venice. Is it feasible to leave the airport %26amp; do a little sight~seeing? Many Thanks for your time!

HHm. The airport is quite a way out of town so it might be expensive (around 50 euros I recall round trip for both of you on the bus or 50 + euros each way for a cab) and the transfers would eat your time. Lyon has a very compact old town however so if you decide to do that, you could have a nice lunch and a walk around the old city for a couple of hours.

Could also recommend the mediaeval village of Pérouges, about 20 Km NE of the airport.
