Latin Quarter restaurants open during AUG??

En route to Paris with my 18 yr. old daughter (her first visit), staying on r. des Bernardins. Found some wonderful restaurant suggestions through this site, but so far all are closed for August. Can anyone recommend medium priced/good food/nice atmosphere restaurants that are open this month? I am happy to leave most meals to serendipity, but would like to have one or two sure bets in hand. Thanks so much.

Maybe this will help

I googled %26quot;Paris restaurants open August%26quot; and there are several links,

We had no trouble finding food last Aug but did not seek anything high end-mostly cafes, crepes, boulangeries.

I live in Paris and when a place I want to go to is closed, I am often quite happy to discover a new place at random. Some of these have in turn made it to my list of favorite places.

As for sure bets, I don%26#39;t really think there is any such thing, because it is always possible to be disappointed even in a place you know you like.

Have you tried one of the Chinatowns yet? The food is completely different from the old fashioned Chinese restaurants of the Latin Quarter.

It%26#39;s an easy walk to Atelier Maitre Albert at 1 r. Maitre Albert. They have abbreviated their hours for the summer, but are still open most days. Have a look at their website: http://www.ateliermaitrealbert.com/

You can call for reservations at 01 56 81 30 01.
