Baie de Somme tourist train

Does anybody know anything about this tourist train which runs through Le Crotoy %26amp; St Valery in the Baie de Somme? I believe that it could be a steam train. I am going to this area with a group at the end of September %26amp; I know that we have several train enthusiasts.

It is indeed a steam train. Last time i took it, years ago, we took it at Noyelles, the normal train stopped, we got off to take this steam train waiting for everyone. Good fun, i think we reached St Valery sur Somme this way, nice village

We were on this steam train in June, Chemin de Fer de la Baie de Somme. It runs from Le Crotoy to Noyelles with the engine pulling forwards, there the engine is moved to the other end of the train and it pulls out backwards to St Valery.

I still have the leaflet we picked up. The journey takes 1hr, Noyelles is just half way. Sept times are:

Weekdays - departs Le Crotoy 10.45 and 15.30, departs St Valery 14.00 and 17.00.

Sat / Sun - departs Le Crotoy 10.45, 15.00 and 17.00, departs St Valery 12.00, 15.00 and 17.00.

No weekday trains from 28 Sept onwards, weekends only in Oct.

Prices in Euros: Le Crotoy to St Valery = 10.60 single, 11.80 return. Noyelles to either Le Crotoy or St Valery = 7.50 single, 8.30 return.

If you want the leaflet posting to you send me a private message with the details.

Hope this helps,

The Tyke
