Hi all - can anyone recommend a hotel for 2 couples to stay overnight when driving up to get the 10.30 am St Malo -Portsmouth ferry in mid-September? Would need somewhere with available parking. Thanks in advance for any help.

In 2007 we stayed at Hotel La Villefromoy on Blvd Hebert. It is a 35 minute walk (5/10 minutes drive) from the ferry terminal. Lovely boutique hotel in a residential area but with private parking which is secure at night. One street back from the beach. At the moment it is ranked third most popular hotel in St Malo.

We recently stayed at Manoir de Rigourdain, just South of St Malo (easy 30 mins drive to ferry - approx 15 Miles.) Lovely hotel/B%26amp;B in beautiful rural location, but close to the N137 main road into St Malo. Loads of parking.
I have posted a review on TA, and it has lots of other good reviews.
