Good authentic Italian restaurant in Paris?

Since I like some variety in my diet, while in Paris we would love to try an Italian restaurant. I am sure there are numerous, but if anyone knows of some that are truly authentic and delicious, I would love your suggestions!!!

We favor French food while in Paris, but may try Le Cherche Midi featured in Giada%26#39;s Weekend Getaway to Paris. We%26#39;ve walked by it many times (22 rue du Cherche-Midi) and it looks delightful.

You can find recent reviews here on TripAdvisor under Paris restaurants.

People who stay in the 7th rave about Beato, 8 rue Malar.

We love Santa Lucia on rue des Canettes in the 6th, afew steps from St-Sulpice church.

|||

You must try Il Sorrentino in the 7th (not too far from the Eiffel Tower). 4 Rue de Montessuy. Small and intimate. Some of the best Italian food I have had anywhere int he world outside of Italy. Staff is all Itialian. Try the cheese wheel - one of a kind dish and the presentation is incredible.

This is another nice option in the Marais.

We had a really very good Italian meal at Cesars near the Arc du Triomphe. You could tell he had regulars and that the place was family run.

Address : 12, avenue Wagram, 75008 Paris

I had eaten enough duck and foie gras to begin quacking and just needed something simple and different. We had a pasta, a veal bocconcini dish and a really good, wobbly pannacotta and felt restored.

The folks at Casa Bini, 6th arron rue Gregoire la TOur, go to Tuscany regularly to fill up on basic ingredients. The owner himself still takes the time to go to Rungis to purchase his produce and the cooks are all Italian. Pasta is cooked to order, not pre-cooked in large batches.

Our favorite - Gli Angeli in Le Marais

5, rue St-Gilles Paris, France 75003

I recommend this sweet little Italian restaurant in the 20th arrondissement called Il Pinocchio, 115 avenue Gambetta. I ate here on my first night in Paris in Sept. 2007 and on my last night. This place is all locals! Good food/opens at 8pm. Stop at Sucrecacao, 89 avenue Gambetta for a scrumptious dessert to eat after dinner (you may have to go here before dinner to avoid them being closed--just save it until after dinner).

If you plan to visit Pere Lachaise Cemetery on your trip. Get off the Metro at Gambetta exit (in the 20th arrondissement). Walk one block west (stop at a flower shop to purchase a map of the cemetery first--absolutely necessary) to the entrance to Pere Lachaise.

In the warm weather months it will still be light out in the evening and you could see the Pere Lachaise Cemetery and then have dinner at Il Pinocchio.

I second the Cafe Cesar on Wagram near the Arc.

My husband (who is from Italy) and I dined there very frequently on our Paris trip last July. We became regulars due to the fun, relaxed atmosphere, and the wonderful food. I think you%26#39;ll be pleased...

Have a wonderful trip, and buon appetito!
