Le Pradet, La Garonne in September 12th - 17th

Hello all,

My girlfriend and I am coming to the Hyeres region in September.

We have found, what looks like, a lovely self catering studio in Le Pradet area.

Our aim of the holiday is just to relax without breaking the bank! Planning on spending a lot of time at the beach. What are the beaches like in this area?

Does any one know this area? How easy is it to get around? Is going in to town for a night out going to be easy on buses?

Any info or good tips on resturants or general hyeres would be welcomed.

Thanks in advance

Maybe not what you are expecting (you don%26#39;t say if you will be driving in the area) but I just had the misfortune to be trying to find a petrol station in the town of Hyeres. It was a Sunday, so I knew many small places would be shut, but - there weren%26#39;t even any places!!! Honestly, I came in on the main road from Le Lavandou and seeing the size (and prosperity) of the town, expected to find a choice of Forecourts on the main road, but in 10 mins I was through and heading out toward the Toulon motorway on fumes! Just managed to turn back on the last exit and drove through the town centre, but seemingly not one Pump in the whole flaming place! Tried asking pedestrians but nobody seemed to know; finally with a huge sigh of relief saw signs for a large Intermarche supermarket back out on the eastern edge of town, sure enough they had a filling station and incidentally, the prices were the cheapest I%26#39;d seen in two weeks on the whole Cote d%26#39;Azure. Anyhow, let this be a word of warning to anyone driving in the Hyeres area! PS when I got back to the Toulon motorway, within 2km of where I desperately turned off there appeared a filling station, albeit with motorway prices. Typical, eh!
