Les Restanques

Going to Les Restanques in Oct for a short family break. Travelling to Nice and renting car. What do people recommend in Restanques when booking accomodation. We are a 2 families of 10 - 6 adults and 4 children under 3.

Should I book services ( meals etc) when booking as indicated on pierreetvacances.com or is it better to pay as you go?

When filling out the booking form I can make a request to stay in particular area of the park - what is recommended?

As we will have a car what things are recommended in the area? Are we far from towns, restaurants, supermarkets, attraction, vineyards etc?

I appreciate anyone who takes times to offer advice based on experience

Thanks

Hi,

Can%26#39;t recommend specific areas of the park or quality of meals as I haven%26#39;t stayed at Les Restanques. It%26#39;s huge, so hopefully someone on TA who has stayed there will pitch in.

Regarding what to see in the area, I recommend you visit nearby St Tropez, Grimaud %26amp; Ste Maxime.

In St Tropez the %26quot;Voiles de St Tropez%26quot; regatta event is spectacular when the wind cooperates. It attracts quite a crowd but is worth a visit with its display of beautiful racing sailboats. September 27 to October 4, 2009.

On October 11, 18 and 25 the Maures Mountains celebrate the chestnut with the %26quot;Fete de la Chataigne%26quot; in La Garde Freinet and elsewhere. Lots of fun in the streets, with roasted chestnuts, chestnut ice creams, often times poney rides and face painting.

Enjoy!
