Eurocamp or Keycamp ?

For next year...

I have just camped with Eurocamp for the first time this year and have to say that the service i received was fantastic, from booking to leaving. Having searched for accommodation for next year, i have found Keycamp to be quite a bit less expensive, why!, i don%26#39;t know, i understand that the two companies are run by one large company. Anyway, does anyone have a preference of one over the other, or is it just that the Eurocamp accommodation is more modern than that of Keycamp. All advice welcome.

i have never used eurocamp and the only reason is the cost they do seem more expensive than the others, i have used keycamp over 10 years ago with no problems, used french freedom again good and they were the cheapest we have used and this summmer we used canvas holidays which good

it does seem like they are run by the same company

We%26#39;ve used Keycamp for the last few years.

We use Keycamp in Cork (as opposed to Keycamp UK).

When we can (which is most of the time) we hire 3 bed, 2 bathroom mobile homes with decking. AFAIK Keycamp are the only company that do accommodation this large.

We have always found the accommodation to be excellent and this year in the Vendee had a spanking new mobile home which was really nice.

One year we had to have a pair of spectacles couriered out from Limerick for our daughter (lady with the sight issue). Specsavers in Limerick and Keycamp in Cork liaised together and madam%26#39;s glasses were delivered by a keycamp courier to our mobile home in Normandy. This IMHO is service above and beyond the call of duty.

This year we had several problems (one major). The major problem was dealt with very unsatisfactorily on site but when I complained to Keycamp Cork upon return home, I was very satisfied with the outcome.

Bgekk, your pricing dilemma may be explained by the fact that Keycamp Ireland and Eurocamp base their prices in Euros, whereas Keycamp UK base their prices in Sterling. Yes, they are the same company as it would appear is Easy Camp (and no, with reference to your query on a previous thread, I don%26#39;t appear to be able to find a site in English, depsite the fact that Google appears to have a byline in English)

I would have no problems recommending Keycamp. Unless we do something wild next summer (which we are giving serious consideration too, but I don%26#39;t want to post in case I jinx it!!) then we will be going on another Keycamp holiday.

Cheers Bean, by the way, would you say the Vendee is a better choice than Brittany ?

Brittany in the sunshine (which is what we had this year) is spectacular.

We weren%26#39;t entirely enamoured of the Vendee, but then that%26#39;s probably us.

There are great beaches, but I%26#39;m married to a man who doesn%26#39;t like beaches in summer. He prefers walking them in the winter, lol!!

The site we were on, was very cramped and the public areas were cleaned before dawn - cleaned loudly before dawn. Earplugs were a must. However the pool area was really good (we were staying in La Zagarella 2 in Longeville sur Mer. There is a Zagarella 1 closer to St Jean des Monts)

We visited Ile de Re (nice, glad I did it once) and the Ile de Normoutier - we drove across the Passage du Gois, which is a roadway only accessible at low tide. We drove back over the bridge. I liked the Ile de Normoutier but sadly %26quot;been there, done that, worn the t-shirt%26quot;.

We did visit the Court d%26#39;Aron Gardens and they were spectacular - the Lotus Flowers (of which we sadly have none in Limerick) were spectacular. jardinez.com/Parks-and-gardens-Floral-And-Tr…

I%26#39;d really recommend this.

We also visited the Loire Valley this year and last year and we loved it.
