Best Public Transport Pass for 1 and half days

Hello,

There will be three of us arriving in Paris Saturday afternoon and leaving Sunday afternoon. We%26#39;ll be staying in a hotel near Porte de la Chapelle. I just wanted to find out what the best metro ticket would be to cover that time period and using it to several times to travel within Paris. Thanks in advance for your reply.

There are Mobilis day passes - one for zones 1-2 is €5.90. It%26#39;s valid from the first train of the day, until the last. Zones 1-2 cover central Paris.

For the saturday afternoon, you could just buy tickets (€1.60) or a carnet (= 10 tickets for €11.60).

Thanks Jan too.. I think the book of tickets may be best! Cheers.

In my recent experience with the Paris metro one ticket can be used twice in most cases only paying 1,60 for two rides. Depending on how many trips you plan on taking each day you might choose to skip the pass altogether.

I%26#39;d follow the advice to just buy the carnet of 10 tickets for €11.60. We arrived on friday and bought a week pass but it didn%26#39;t start working until Monday morning. We ended up buying the carnet of 10 tickets for the weekend. It actually wasn%26#39;t enough for the weekend but we probably walk around more than the typical tourist (put in 9 or 10 hours most days walking around).

For only 1.5 days the carnet is probably the best option for you. The Paris metro system is EXCELLENT. Probably the best in the world. So easy to use, so many trains often never having to wait and the signs are well marked all over the place so it%26#39;s impossible to have problems.

Have a great trip.

Thanks everyone for your replies - a book of ten tickets it is then!
