Museum Pass for 48 Euros worth buying?

We are planning to go to Paris in first week of September and thinking about buying a museum pass in advance. Do you think it is worth it? Also, they are asking for 15 euros for a delivery!!! Can we pick up from somewhere in PARIS once we reach there? Can you please help?

Don%26#39;t buy one outside of Paris, it%26#39;s ridiculous what they charge.

Buy one at the first museum you go to, and if it%26#39;s a smaller museum like the Rodin museum or the Cluny, there won%26#39;t be a line to worry about (usually).

If you want to go to a lot of museums, it is well worth it. The 48 euro pass covers 4 days. I like the 64 euro pass because I can spread my museum trips out more that way. BUt if you plan on visiting more than a few, it would be worth it.

This link shows what the major museums normally charge, so you can do the math:

One of the best aspects of the pass is that you save a lot of time by skipping the lines. This is true for almost all of them (not Notre Dame towers or Ste. Chapelle). It%26#39;s really ideal.

You can pick it up in Paris. Here%26#39;s the link:

And note on the side that there are FNAC stores, the office of tourism, and la civette du carousel...

It%26#39;s worth it if you were to hit several museums over a consecutive number of days, and/or if you want to skip the lines.

Thank you

The Museum Pass is well worth purchasing but not with the delivery fee!

One thing to note: not all of museums are covered on the pass. Some (like Musée Marmottan) are private museums and not covered. Some other great museums are free (e.g. Carnavalet).

Thank you so much for your help..

You can also purchse one at the airport when you arrive at the official visitor center. It was of great value for us as we visited about 8 museums. Have a terrific time. Cheers Dan
