Weather in May

Is May a good time for a visit to Paris and the small towns around Paris?

Yes - May is my favorite time (actually late May/early June) – generally good weather and not too many tourists. You can have a mix of warm/cool weather and some rain is likely.

The weather in Paris is quite variable all year round – there isn’t any time when you are guaranteed anything. May/June are about as good as it gets – July – Sept can get hot – the rest of the year can get pretty darn cold (for this Southern California boy anyway!)

to me may is the best time we were there for may last year and the weather was mixed not too hot not too cold and we are booked for may next year . Also if you%26#39;re interested there is an amazing antiques market near the Place Bastile from may 8-16 less tourists (excluding us)

Just what I was hoping for. Thanks for the info.

we usually visit Paris in May. while it may be warm and lovely and sunny, the last few years we have done this it has been mostly chilly and rainy

but then in June it is also often showery

we would rather be a little chilly when traveling than hot so it works for us -- but be sure you have a lightweight rain jacket and an unbrella

Graceh9 thanks for the tip on the jacket.
