car parking in corsica

Hello!

Starting with the next week I%26#39;ll be in Corsica, traveling by car... on budget. I was wandering if you can give me some clues about parking in Corsica - in the big cities like Calvi or Ajaccio and near the beaches.

Is it easy to find a parking place near the tourist beaches? Are the parking lots for free or can you tell me the regular price / hour?

I believe that lots of beaches are located right in the wild - since parking places are out of the question, is it legal to leave the car right near the road, or should I expect for a fine?

If you have some other tips about parking with less expenses but legally, with no fines, I%26#39;ll appreciate.

Thank you in advance!

Plenty of free parking along side the beach on the road into Calvi just before Casino supermarket, in the pine woods, or on the expanse of wasteland opposite.

There is also a large car park opposite the Super U. in Calvi, I believe The charge there is just a few Euros all day.

Don%26#39;t even try to park in or around Ille Rousse, as it%26#39;s a big enough problem just passing through there.

Lozari beach, a few K%26#39;s outside Ille Rousse also has a

huge free car park, beautiful sand, and crystal clear waters.

There are also plenty of places to pull off the road, and climb down into rocky coves on the coast running toward Calvi.

Alf.
