thinking of staying in Cannes for november - just wondered what it would be like at that time of year-weather -activities-places open/closed and is it easy to get around without a car?

November is historically the rainiest month of the year here, its quiet, with locals rather than tourists, but that said, its still got a pulse. The locals can be quite lively!
You can get around by bus and train quickly and cheaply, and there is really no need of a car rental unless you are planning to tour inland, have mobility problems, or have brought far too much luggage.
I have to frank and say there are probably better months than November to visit a seaside resort in France, but depends on your expectations. There is still plenty to see and do,indoors and out.
